Avanti Service is non existent, no one stands behind product

Purchase Avanti wine chiller, had nothing but issues since it stopped working, they don’t servivce it, PC Richard where I purchased it does not service it and I cannot find anyone locally who will even look at it. Such a waste

Don’t trust their claims to service these fridges. They don’t. They refer out to other companies. It can take weeks of back and forth to get your fridge serviced, if then. My compressor broke after only 6 months – Avanti offered almost no help.
Here comes my fourth repairman in the first year…

This guy has been spotty since the day we got it.
We’ve had little to no control over temperature.
Our 2nd of 4 repairmen (in one year of ownership) found one end of a bottle to be 13 degrees different than the other end of the same bottle.
Not only is that far beyond the instructions’ projections
of 5 degree accuracy…it’s a scientific phenomenon.
Now I’m finding that setting it to HI gives us a lower temp than LO
(the opposite of our readings after the 3rd repairman).
Again this seems scientifically impossible.
I can only conclude that my unit has achieved artificial
intelligence and is making up new ways to screw up.
It’s brilliant at that…but crummy at chilling wine.

When looking for a mid sized wine refrigerator, I found that this was one of the only wine refrigerators which had a different temp zone on top and bottom. So we can store whites separate from reds at their preferred temperatures. It was affordable, not too big in size, and looks nice. The process of buying it was easy. It came when promised and there were no problems. We’ve enjoyed having it for a couple of months now.

I recieved this as a Christmas gift. It is a nice fridge, but a bit backwards to me. The smaller section up top is intended for reds and the bottom for whites. Everyone I know drinks way more red so the space is a bit confining for me. The thermostat doesn’t have enough variance. The temp up top is still colder than I like to keep my reds at! Overall quite nice and an exceptional value – just wish I had had unlimited funds to get a truely exceptional product.
